The concept of being able to travel between certain points in time is something that has always fascinated me. I enjoy reading or watching anything that involves travelling through time. So, of course one of my favourite shows is Doctor Who both new and classic.  (Off Topic – Did you know today is Impossible Astronaut day? The episode was aired on the 23 April 2011.)

At the moment I am watching the second series of Timeless. Timeless is interesting because at the moment they are only travelling backwards in time. However, in their machine they can also travel to other locations. Another series I enjoyed but has now finished was Primeval. This series mainly involved creatures coming through rifts in time known as Anomaly’s opening up.

So is time travel possible?

My thoughts on time travel… (I have thought about this a lot but I am condensing it)

Many people a lot clever than me have probably done the maths but in my opinion, if time travel was possible, then it would only be backwards. Moving locations while travelling would not be possible though. If you wanted to go back to Paris in the 18th Century then you would have to be in Paris before you travelled back.  I also believe that to actually go back in time with some degree of accuracy it could either only be along your own timeline or the past couple of hundred years.

What are your thoughts? And, if you could travel back in time, where would you go? What would you see?

I hope you join me tomorrow for the Letter U …
