Health & Well Being Sunday #3

The third Health and Well Being Sunday of the year already. I can’t believe it is the 1 March on Thursday and I have done nothing due to illness.

UPDATE… About Me

February did begin well sort of, I was feeling very tired and just thought it was due to the cold weather. Second week in though and I felt terrible, waking up on Saturday morning with the flu. I have since been out of action for the past two weeks. No work, no exercising, nothing… It has been so frustrating.

Writing this I am still not 100% but at least I can look at the screen without my eyes watering. I cannot believe I have spent the first two months of the year catching and recovering from horrible viruses.

Due to this everything I was planning on doing in February now has to be done in March.

Looking at the positive though I have drunk plenty of water…

Milly’s Guide inspired me to look for Five things a week that I am grateful for. Unfortunately the week I was really ill, I was unable to post so I combined my post on Friday to cover two weeks.

You will be pleased to know that my blogging activity should be back to normal this week. So, #FridayFive should be back to normal.

I did begin the walk to Mordor Challenge on Thursday 1 February 2018, however as already mentioned I have been ill. Progress is limited but at least there is a bit of progress. Only 450 miles now till I complete the first leg of the journey.

Below are the things I wanted to put in place for February but will now be part of the plan for March.

  • Drink more water
  • Start the Green Tea drinking once more
  • Healthy Lunches – Buddha Bowls
  • Running 5K Training
  • Get to know Yoga and Pilates , again
  • Continue Walk to Mordor (hopefully get closer to Rivendell.

Also in March…

The first Monday in March will be the first Meat Free Monday of the year. I have been looking at recipes and I am hoping to explore some new ideas. I really like some of the Arabic Recipes I have found.  It won’t be Meat Free every Monday but I am aiming for at least 2 a month.

During March I also aim to finish my Health, Fitness and Well Being Inspiration/Smash Book.

I will also be looking at ways I can boost my immunity as I am fed up of catching viruses and want to avoid catching them.

My aim is to make this post more interesting and I hope to take lots of photo’s. This includes but is not limited to New Recipes, My Smash Book, Walking (especially now the lighter nights are coming and any progress.

Thank you for reading… Lets hope March is illness free

  1. I’m really sorry to hear you have been so poorly 😦 I’m sorry I haven’t been reading for a while. I hope March is a better month. Maybe with having your “Buddha Bowl” for lunch will really help to feel better; getting those necessary nutrients into the body to fight infection. Well done for drinking lots of water; it’s the hardest bit I think.
I’m looking forward to hearing about your meat-free meals; I too plan to do this later in the year; right now the thought of creating a meal with no meat scares me! Where’s my protein coming from?
Take Care, I really hope you do feel much better soon.
